After spending years of trial-and-error, Ibanez realized the out-of-the-box X-M Bracing to generate the ultimate sound in order to stand out on stage. The carefully designed scalloped X-bracing, the allocation of tone braces, and finger braces transmit the string vibration efficiently through the bridge to the body. The X-M Bracing creates a clear bottom and crispy treble sound with a trimmed, warm mid-range, and also provides a wide dynamic range and high response.
This guitar also features a reinforced wood plate inside the body for percussive play, especially to create a "kick drum" sound by hitting the body top with the heel of the palm. This plate also contributes to making the "kick drum" sound clearer.

Designed for projection, balance, and comfort, the AE's perfectly crafted contemporary body shape offers the best of all worlds.
